Great piece Jane. But Oscar Mayer bringing back the Wtenermobile doesn’t get them off the hook. I will never forgive them for ending production of Smoky Links.

Seems that our leadership overall could easily be replaced with ordinary people to great improvement. Common sense is apparently not a component of judgment. As far as inflation goes we need to set up the vines index in America and just use that. You forgot to mention homeowners insurance! Great piece, the sun is shining anyway! https://www.vimesbootsindex.co.uk/

Jane,

As usual you had me laughing out loud Jane! Mark Storer stole my thunder!!! I can’t even read Krugman anymore. I miss Bryan Suits on the radio here in So Cal. I’m always happy when you fill in on KFI!!! As a retired Flight Attendant I so relate to the craziness. I had the pleasure of meeting you shortly after I retired a few years ago. It’s all bat-shit crazy in the skies now.

If Kelce could be caught on video in the Weinermobile snorting coke off Taylor's chest, that's must see T V. Or sub Lauren Bobert vaping next to them.

2023 isn’t over yet. It’s still possible.

Paul Krugman makes me sad. I used to loathe him, now I just express deep and focused sighs (not the meditative kind...) whenever I see his mug and the inanity that he passes off as "writing." I'm glad Suits is your friend. He's on morning drive radio here in Seattle, and it's a nice connection for me to listen to him daily. I liked him on KFI, and now I get to hear him weekdays. As always---fun reading!

WTH is “Stellantis?"

>Frankly, it didn’t cut the mustard. (I’ve got a million of ‘em!)< That's a good one! :)

That looks like a mug shot for Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

I kind of have to agree with Jann Wenner. I've been a musician for 61 years (man, I hate to say that!) There just weren't that many ROCK stars of color or female. Sly and the Family Stone, Prince, Joan Jett, Heart, and maybe Pat Benetar come to mind. But it's kind of like saying there's not that many stars of color in the NHL. Nobody's fault. It's just the way it is. Of course, I'm not including pop, soul, or any other genre in with ROCK.

Concerning the apostrophe, FZ summed it up best on his album "Apostrophe"

"Well, I told him right then,

It should be easy to see

The crux of the biscuit

Is the apostrophe."

Sheesh! I'm sure glad I don't fly anymore! It sounds like a nightmare!

If T. Denny Sanford calls you, tell him I'd like to talk to him, too! ;)

If I were a billionaire, I would not care at all what my reputation was. Sheesh! What would it matter?

Inflation: Just remember, if they lined up 100 economists, they'd still not reach a conclusion. ;)

I really don't understand the cult of personality. I guess people are trained or conditioned to worship stars and buy their products. Oh well.

Here's a line about the Jets from Barney Miller:

Harris: You know what anarchy is, right?

Nick: Yeah, that's when people run around doing whatever they wanna do...like the Jets.

I guess you can tell I'm bored. LOL Sorry about the length. Great newsletter, though! :)
