1) Tesla's Cybertruck - One of these passed us on the road two weeks ago while we were on our way to Long Beach. IT IS ONE OF THE UGLIEST VEHICLES I HAVE EVER SEEN.
2) I submit that the hedgehog/pom pom was, instead, a Tribble.
3) Pythons sound great as an investment. Good use for the profits from Bison.
After reading your story about O.J. and your career, I wanted to leave a comment. But a pop-up said I needed to subscribe to leave a comment. OK, I'm interested, but I can't find out a) how much, and b) where do I sign up to pay. I'm sure others would be interested, too.
You have to supply an email. It’s free! If you go to my main substack page it should direct you to where you can subscribe: janewells.substack.com. Thank you!
I already am a subscriber. But when I tried to comment of your story "How the O.J. Simpson Case Changed My Career," a grey pop-up appeared and addressed me by my email saying, "Only paid subscribers can comment on this post."
The Congressman who referred to the First Officer as "stewardess" may actually be the hit of the year for me reading this. Here we are in 2024 facing all kinds of nuttiness from a progressive world that changes so fast, one's head spins. And the changes are mostly awful, it's true. But one of the changes that actually has been beneficial for everyone is that women are pilots (and many other things now!). Who elected Mr. 1972?
I'm laying low for April Fool's day! Jane you have all the top shelf confidence a journalist needs that is not a psychopathic narcissist! If I see an article on a business in Florida exporting python meat to Asia I'll keep you posted. Not sure when civilization got momentum on the slippery slope, but the news appears to be accelerating. Love your reporting... :-)
What a great article! The stupidity is as entertaining as always. Tough to hear about the multiple missteps from Boeing - hopefully the right people are held accountable and they can refocus on safety and not profits first.
Why can't you be like Don Lemon and have the chutzpah to negotiate a more lucrative contract? Maybe because I watch you on CNBC when you report and notice it is mainly West Coast subjects...you love living in the Paso Robles area. Who wouldn't? Maybe you got a good gig now (and I suspect you do) but it's not enough like the billionaire co founder of Sun Microsystems who did insider trading for a measly $416,000 gain. It's never enough.
DUMBERER — Government’s Misdirected Priorities --> Jane, I suspect someone(s) on the City Council are getting some extra benefits from the contractors who work on potholes. That and the liability issues.

“The Last Repair Shop,” has been inundated with donations after the film won an Oscar. ---> Truly Wonderful!!

Agreed, and thank you. I have to fly a United Boeing aircraft across the water in a few weeks. Fingers crossed.

I’m trying to figure out how to legally achieve all that. One word: lotto.
