Thank you once again for the iconic Jane-Wellian perspectives. There are way too many culinary scenarios to postulate, let alone digest at one sitting. Curious - what about the impacts of (insert drug name here) on the of alcohol? We need answers! #themoreyouknow

All I know is that is one warning I choose to (mostly) ignore.

I must say, when I saw the comment about "solid waste", I was a little taken aback. But then, I soon realized that we have some kind of miracle drug here. Gonna change our way of life! :)

I seem to remember you saying that you would be on island in October. Are you still coming?

Good story 👍, Kerry Shaw has the right advice. There are still way too many tubbers out there.

If you’re still here, see if you can get reservations at Moana at the Kona Village Resort , it’s very good food.

Hi Jane

Your article explains exactly why I never use any sell side analysis. Sell side analysts are trying to get publicity (which is their actual purpose,) and hop on to popular themes like GLP-1 drugs even when the stories make no sense. Public companies usually use the excuse d'jour to talk their book, even if it sounds dumb.

Why does the financial media give these sell side jokers so much air time?

Regards

BL

I’ve always thought we should show an analyst’s past predictions when they come on. But then, no one would come on. Which is … the point.

ha! .......i'm reminded of a high school economics class where the teacher made sure we knew economics was all about "people's wants". on one exam he asked a question of "what happens when people get all their wants?" his claim on the test was in essence "economics ends". half the class felt ignored that answer and felt "people will just want something else". i was in that crowd and never did get a grade correction ....... i wanted the A damit! the teacher was wrong!

i'm also remined of too many companies i worked for where the marketing people - truly knowing very little about the company or product or customer base or anything aside from projections on a graph always going north! so the marketing plans always had these squirrly projections and equally weird rationale. .......and those guys got paid well and "earned" bonus cash!!!!!!!!

i think you have an outline started for another post apocalyptic B movie! some mash up of Sharknado and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes........... "When Skinny People Rule the World!"
