I have a question. What is the deal with yachts? I can understand buying a mansion in Switzerland or some other fashionable place, but why a boat? There are only so many places that you can park that huge of a boat. Are there some tax benefits that make building and operating a huge boat a sweet deal? Is it a security issue? I'd think a single torpedo from and angry shareholder could sink that investment! (See what I did there? I learned it from you!) A floating palace seems a bad investment to me. Who do you sell it to when you need cash, like for lawyers? Maybe this could be a story for you to look into?

oh boy Rex ~ you never experienced boating? i sorta grew up on a sailboat and when i hit 16 and got keys to the car, i got keys to the sailboat. it's an incredible life! with a billion $$$ in my pocket, i would have one too. instead post college i had a little 18 footer and took it to catalina 3+ times, spent a week on lake meade way back, etc. it's a hell of a fun lifestyle! .....later i discovered cruise ships and they ain't bad either.....

I’m fairly sure that theD&D readers aren’t nuts but the world situation is sliding rapidly on the slippery slope. The homeless payment costs reminds me of the $43 billion lottery money Florida gets where 20% of the kids and adults have issues with reading comprehension. Things don’t add up, unless they add up to the actual truth. Good column this week!

for amusement the wife and i sometimes watch one of those "Tiny Homes" style real estate shows where 3 homes are reviewed and they buy one. prices are $30k to $300k yet any and all are far cheaper than homeless housing. boy, next time i'm here on Earth i hope to be smarter and get my share of a few million $$$ doing legal cons like municipalities do with the homeless funds!

wow! what a spin-doctor you are to turn these fiasco stories into mini-summaries of successive scenes or "secondary strands" for a TBD movie once the writer's strike is over! i envision little minor stories that can even be crossed over thru time to give actors like Tom Hanks a chance to redeam himself from that movie "Cloud Atlas". He can even invite back a few of his big name friends!

..........which reminds me of the structure of the movie "1000 ways to die in the west". Hell, just release two movies in separate studios. But skip Disney

When checking out at Sprouts today the cashier asked me if I wanted my purchases bagged. Um, yeah, and I thought to myself what a strange question. When i got home and looked at my receipt and saw that I was charged 10 cents for the bag. I had also bought a live basil plant and after the transaction I decided that I would just put it into another plastic bag making it eaiser to carry in the the house, not knowing that I was committing theft.
